A strong man cannot help a weaker unless that weaker is strong of himself; he must, by his own efforts, develop the strength which he admires in another. None but himself can alter his condition. Think hard and decide what it is that you truly really want. Listen to the voice in the depths of your being that whispers your dreams and then go after them. When times get hard don’t give up, keep moving forward, marching on one little step at a time, no one achieved greatness without perseverance. You will struggle and face complications and difficulties but the Universe is on your side and when you least expect it you will receive help. When you become committed to a path, truly committed to the depths of your being, doors appear that were not available before. Work hard and have faith in yourself and you will accomplish anything.

Our Grievances are all Connected

The prospect is for times of turmoil, struggle, but also inspiration. There is a chance that such a movement could succeed in doing what the system itself has never done–bring about great change with little violence. This is possible because the more of the 99 percent that begin to see themselves as sharing needs, the more the guards and the prisoners see their common interest, the more the Establishment becomes isolated, ineffectual. The elite’s weapons, money, control of information would be useless in the face of a determined population. The servants of the system would refuse to work to continue the old, deadly order, and would begin using their time, their space–the very things given them by the system to keep them quiet–to dismantle that system while creating a new one.

George Catlin’s Creed

George Catlin was an American painter, author and traveler born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After a brief career as a lawyer he set out to record the appearance and customs of America’s native people. He produced two major collections of paintings of American Indians and published a series of books chronicling his travels among the native peoples of North, Central and South America. The following is an excerpt from his book, Last Rambles.

If someone you know is doing something truly great with their time and energy don’t hate on them, rather use them as motivation to better yourself and do all that you are capable of doing. Haters are unrealized potential, people who didn’t work hard to become the person they were capable of being. Like Nelson Mandela said, “there is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. You have to work you ass off for the things you want, it wouldn’t be worth it if you didn’t.
