I See you sleeping only in my mind
I have been away alone this season
Away so much time
Thinking of when I would hold you gently
And I’d look into your eyes
And I would be the one to calm your shaking
When you would cry
I miss you in my life
I miss you in my life
I miss you in my life
–For Her
Why read books?
In this fast paced world that can’t seem to stop moving, slowing down and sitting down to read might be just what we need. Books can teach us about this world and transport us into other ones. Books give us insight. Books broaden our horizons, stretching out our minds and feeding our brains. With books we can educate ourselves. They help us to better our writing, our vocabulary and our though process. Books help to liberate us from mental slavery and free our minds. Books are freedom, books are growth, books are fun, books are creativity, books are awesome. Find something that interests you, pick up a book on it and read.
“What an astonishing thing a book is. It’s a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which are imprinted lots of funny dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you’re inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.”
-Carl Sagan
Food for your Brain
Knowledge is Truth, knowledge is power in the path towards enlightenment
Instead of Facebook…. READ A BOOK

Spoken word written and performed by Mark Grist, UK teacher, poet and battle rapper, from Peterborough UK. He reminds us that we have to keep learning, we have to keep growing, constantly striving to flourish. Being smart is cool, so why not strive to be a smart and cool person. Learn in any way that you want, you don’t necessarily have to read, but make you sure you keep learning. Becoming Human is a learning process and the more we know the better people we are, becoming more and more awesome with every new thing we learn.
“Some guys prefer asses, some guys prefer tits, and I am not saying that i don’t like these bits, but what’s more important. What supersedes? Is a girl with passion, wit, and dreams. So i’d like a girl who reads.”
-Mark Grist
-Quetzal Noah
The Cheap Life
Don’t get used to the cheap life. That easy life that offers you no exploration, where the common diversions become boring. Don’t get used to feeling that your existence is secure. A person who doesn’t live with uncertainty or risks slowly loses the flame of his spirit. Don’t get used to the simple, the pleasant comfort of having everything resolved when the end-of-the-month salary comes in. If there is something difficult, the fact that it is difficult should be another motive for doing it.
-Quetzal Noah
-Homero aridjis, mexican writter, poet and ecologist.
Yes, of course, there is a lot of faith in me, in the sense of will for life. I believe in god but without a religion; I believe in the good and in love, and in life, and in nature, because it’s part of love, part of the bounty, part of life. Everything is full of life, full of being. And that being is god, source of life, who is in everything, without a face, without a body.
-Homero aridjis, mexican writter, poet and ecologist.
Every time that I see your face
Something moves within my heart
And it thrills me to my soul
And tell me that
Love not gonna let me down
Oh no, oh no
Love not gonna let me down
As I see the morning sun
I know everything, everything is alright
I could see you rushing to my door
And tell me that
Love not gonna let me down
No, no
“Pero que nos importa la opinión de la gente fría, siempre que nuestras almas, mas ardientes y mas nobles que las suyas, sepan disfrutar de lo que ellos no perciben.”
-Marques de Sade
“What do we care about the opinion of cold people, as long as our souls, more fiery and noble than theirs, know how to enjoy the things they don’t perceive.“
-Marques de Sade
Every moment of one’s existence one is growing into more or retreating into less. One is always living a little more or dying a little bit.
-Norman Mailer
En cada momento de su existencia uno esta creciendo hacia mas o replegando hacia menos. Uno siempre esta muriendo un poquito o viviendo un poco mas.
-Norman Mailer
