Y bailar y bailar y tomar y tomar

I feel Home

There are few things pure in this world anymore and home is one of the few

You have a drink baby running high saw a couple men of blue

To me so damn easy to see that the people are the people at home

Well I been away and I’m back today there ain’t a place I’d rather go

I feel home when I see the faces that remember my home

I feel home when I’m chilling outside with the people I know

I feel home and that’s just what I feel

Home to me is reality and all I need is something real

Feeling alright and not tonight maybe off to a dark drive

I said I’ll soak your board someone looking for more but we all just decide to stay

We got nothing to do and when I look at you I see someone that I knew and loved

And with the crack of your smile we always stay a while

I know from home there ain’t nothing above

Well in the end we can all call our friends that’s something that I pray is true

In a thousand years and a thousand tears I will find my original crew

Cause to me there’s nowhere else I’d rather be except right here right at home

And on those long dark drives on that road at night in my heart I feel home

I feel home I feel my home I feel my home I love my home

It’s been so long finally at home

We know you’re gone but in their hearts you will always always live on

And all your friends they live in your smile

There is no end

You will always live on no matter my age

I swear to God tonight I could see you on my stage up at home up at home up at home

I feel my home I love my home I miss my home oh eighty nine when we’re driving home

I feel my home and all those nights when I’m laying all alone I feel my home

In my heart I’m always at home and in my soul I feel my home

What do I know?

Ain’t got a soapbox I can stand upon

But God gave me a stage, a guitar and a song

My daddy told me, “son, don’t you get involved in

Politics, religions or other people’s quotes”

I’ll paint the picture, let me set the scene

I know when I have children they will know what it means

And I pass on these things my family’s given to me

Just love and understanding, positivity

We could change this whole world with a piano

Add a bass, some guitar, grab a beat and away we go

I’m just a boy with a one-man show

No university, no degree, but lord knows

Everybody’s talking ’bout exponential growth

And the stock market crashing in their portfolios

While I’ll be sitting here with a song that I wrote

Sing, love could change the world in a moment

But what do I know?

Love can change the world in a moment

The revolution’s coming, it’s a minute away

I saw people marching in the streets today

You know we are made up of love and hate

But both of them are balanced on a razor blade

I’ll paint the picture, let me set the scene

I know, I’m all for people following their dreams

Just re-remember life is more than fittin’ in your jeans

It’s love and understanding, positivity

We could change this whole world with a piano

Add a bass, some guitar, grab a beat and away we go

I’m just a boy with a one-man show

Love can change the world in a moment

But what do I know?

One Love/One Heart

The ingenious and renowned Play for Change band made up of street musician from across this wonderful blue dot of ours. Their wonderful covers of some of the most popular songs created, remind us about the unifying power of music and love. We are one Human Family and we are a lot more alike than different. So let’s get together on this wonderful day and feel alright…… One Love !

One Love, One Heart
Let’s get together and feel all right

As it was in the beginning
So shall it be in the end
Let’s get together and feel all right

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love)
There is one question I’d really like to ask (One Heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me

I wanna feel all right
One Love, One Heart
Let’s get together and feel all right

As it was in the beginning

So shall it be in the end

Let’s get together to fight this Holy Armageddon
When the Man comes there will be no no doom
Have pity on those whose chances grove thinner
There ain’t no hiding place from the Father of Creation

We’ve got
One Love, One Heart
Let’s get together and feel all right

Keep Your Head Up

I’ve been waiting on a sunset
Bills on my mindset
I can’t deny they’re getting high
Higher than my income, income’s bread crumbs
I’ve been trying to survive
The glow that sun gets right around sunset
Helps me to realize
This is just a journey
Drop your worries, you are gonna turn out fine
Oh… You turn out fine
Fine, oh, you turn out fine

But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh
But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh
I know it’s hard (know it’s hard)
To remember sometimes
But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh eh eh

I got my hands in my pockets kicking these rocks
It’s kinda hard to watch this life go by
I’m buying into skeptics
Skeptics mess with the confidence in my eyes
I’m seeing all the angles thoughts get tangled
I start to compromise my life and my purpose
Is it all worth it? Am I gonna turn out fine?
Oh oh, you turn out fine
Fine, oh oh you turn out fine

But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh
But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh
I know it’s hard (know it’s hard)
To remember sometimes
But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down, eh eh eh eh

Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again and
It’s a circle, circling
Around again
It comes around again

But, you gotta keep your head up, oh oh
And you can let your hair down

I like the people/ Me gusta la Gente

Con la gente que me gusta
me dan las claras del alba
compartiendo madrugadas,
palabras, risas y lunas.
Con la gente que me gusta
paso las noches en vela
deberían ser eternas
como la lluvia y la sed.
Me gusta la gente
que cuando saluda
te aprieta la mano
con fuerza y sin dudas.
Me gusta la gente
que cuando te habla
te mira a los ojos,
te mira de frente,
Te dice a la cara
aquello que siente
y nada se calla y no tiene dobleces;
me gusta esa gente.
Con la gente que me gusta,
alrededor de una mesa,
cualquier vino es un poema,
cualguier charla la locura.
Con la gente que me gusta
me encanta hablar de proyectos;
de esos que se lleva el viento
y que se olvidan después.
Me gusta la gente
que cuando saluda
te aprieta la mano
con fuerza y sin dudas.
Me gusta la gente
que cuando te habla
te mira a los ojos,
te mira de frente,
Te dice a la cara
aquello que siente
y nada se calla y no tiene dobleces;
me gusta esa gente.

(English)

With the people I like

I get the clearness of daybreak

sharing mornings, words, laughter and moons.

With the people I like

I spend sleepless nights

that should be eternal

like the rain and thirst.

I like the people

that when they shake your hand

they do so firmly and without doubts.

I like the people

that when they talk to you

they look at you in the eyes,

straightforwardly,

and tells you to your face

that which they feel.

And nothing has another face or is left unsaid.

Around a table

with the people I like,

any wine is poetry,

any conversation madness.

With the people I like

I love to speak about projects

Those that are taken by the wind

and forgotten later on.

I like those people.

Love is my Religion

Love is the one eternal truth, it’s the source and purpose of it all. It’s the spark of light in the vast darkness of the universe. Our connection to the source is strengthened by loving and by being loved. Become a soldier of love and reap its benefits. Love gives life meaning and depth. Love is strength, it’s shield and armor. Love is religion, it is a way of being. It is the best fuel to run your life and it will help you to surpass your own dreams and expectations. Love marks a trail and we follow its path with open hearts, beings guided by the light, illuminating the darkness surrounding us. Create and nourish the light of love within you, allow it to coarse through your mind, body, and spirit and then share it with others so they to can kindle their own inner flame. Never stop believing in the power of love, let it glow out onto the world with every inhale and exhale you take, and like always, keep growing, in the light direction.

Love is my Religion

All my days I’ve been searching,
To find out what this life is worth
Through the books and bibles of time
I’ve made up my mind
I don’t condemn, I don’t convert,
This is a calling have you heard
Bring all the lovers to the fold,
‘Cause no one is gonna lose their soul
Love is my religion,
Love is my religion,
Love is my religion
Hey you can take it or leave it,
And you don’t have to believe it
I don’t want to fight,
Hey let’s go fly a kite
There’s nothing that we can’t cure,
And I’ll keep you in my arms for sure
So don’t let nobody stop us,
Free spirits have to soar
With you I share the gift,
The gift that we now know oh oh oh
Love is my religion,
Love is my religion,
Love

Who’s to say
What’s impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread it’s wings
There’s no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
I don’t want this feeling to go away

Who’s to say
I can’t do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren’t always just what they seem

LOVE LETTERS TO GOD

Nahko and Medicine for the People is an American world music musical collective formed in 2008. The five member group is headed by frontman Nahko Bear and their music is a fusion of various cultural musical influences.Nahko Bear was born in Portland, Oregon and he has a mixed ethnic background which includes Apache, Puerto Rican, and Filipino descent. He began playing piano at age six. His creative inspiration is the desire to bridge cultural gaps. This is one of my favorite songs by them titled, “Love Letters to God”. Hope it inspires you as much as it did me. Enjoy!

Give, always give what you can
, even if your allies draw lines in the sand
And dig, always dig a little deeper
Sometimes it’s hard to be my brother’s keeper
Love. So you let love in
Baby, I am home in the wake of your skin, and it’s crazy
How we wear our ceremony.
Always be open to your path and your journey

My love, we are destined to teach these ones to be brave
And never run away
Courage is birthed from the womb on the first light of day
Yeah, the day you were born, you came out perfect
 never meant to be torn
In silence, never been so loud in the violence
Never been so proud of a people
When we’re fighting for a change
Not afraid to lose it all despite all the rage
We are animals
And we cannot be caged
Provoke us to fight
So we burn a little sage and write poetry
Wiser than the enemy will ever be
The minority
And authority
Are you here to protect or arrest me?
I can’t tolerate the hate, and I’m losing sleep
Can’t breathe, cause they’re choking out a war in me
, Immorality.

Love letters to God
Wonder if she reads them or if they get lost
In the stars, the stars, in the stars
So many parts to a heavy heart
If there’s no beginning, then where would you start?
Start, start, where would you start?

And open,
Open up your fist
. A misconception, you can fight like this
In praise, with the power of prayer
If God’s on our side, we can take the stairs
 to the heavens
Flipping through my chapter seven
I live with the snakes in the great deception
No court, in this country for men, who steal from their mother on paper with pen
And we’re tripping
Down a red dirt road
And we’re asking
Is this the way we should go?
Kissing, soft top feet of my goddess
We walk the earth, baby, yeah we got this
Focus, and it’s redirected
Grateful, and I’m resurrected
Stubborn, but I know the way
You’re the skin of my drum
, to your rhythm I will sway
Take my hand
I won’t lead you astray
We will not go gently into the darkest of days

One Love

Playing for Change is a multimedia music project, created by the American producer and sound engineer Mark Johnson with his Timeless Media Group, that seeks to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music.Using mobile recording equipment, they record local musicians from across the world performing the same song, interpreted in their own style and what emerges are unique, inspiring, beautiful and magnificent works of art. In this video they re-create one of Bob Marley’s greatest song which celebrates the love inside each of us. We can achieve far greater things as a united human family than we ever could apart.  Let love be our uniting force. One Love.
